April Wolfe is an Angeleno by way of Michigan. She co-wrote the film Black Christmas and wrote the film Clawfoot. Her fiction has been published in A Public Space, Quarterly West, The Pinch, Assemble Artifacts, the anthology Haunted Reels 2, and other journals. An A Public Space Emerging Writer Fellow and an Iceland Writers Retreat Fellow, April was the host of the popular film podcast Switchblade Sisters and has appeared in numerous documentaries talking about genre film and pop culture. She's told stories on PRI's Snap Judgment and was a regular guest on KCRW's Press Play in Los Angeles, along with having been the lead film critic of LA Weekly (RIP). Her essays and criticism appear in Rolling Stone, The A.V. Club, Film Comment, The Washington Post, and many other places. Bury Me in Vegan Leather is her first book.

Along with these glamorous jobs, she has held every other not glamorous job under the sun, like cleaning out hoarder houses and ripping out old insulation from colonial homes with far too little personal protective equipment. She’s sold sorbet at farmers markets and waited tables at TGI Friday’s, and also been a copywriter and marketing and communications professional, because everything is storytelling when you really think about it.
